Gatley was founded in 1993 by fashion designer Anja Colberg-Gaedtke. Its headquarters are located in the city of Trier, Germany. Our long-standing customers include major European fashion retail chains and sportswear suppliers. We also offer corporate fashion for industrial companies.
Market Research
Every project is different, and so is every new collection that we work on. When starting to collaborate with a new client, we first strive to understand where the company excels, who its customers are, and where exactly the private label shall be positioned in the market.
To offer our customers profound advice, we constantly conduct market research. We therefore closely monitor new trends and developments in the fashion industry right as they begin to occur. Then we analyze our findings in order to provide our customers with a design approach that is perfectly tailored to the specific needs of the company which operates in a highly competitive and dynamic market situation.

Design
We always create an individual design for each client and each new collection that we are working on. Our designs are precisely tailored to the ideas and wishes of our clients, which we discuss in detail beforehand.
Some of our clients have a very precise idea of what the collection should look like, while others only have a rough idea. We are happy to support our customers either way. With our profound experience we are able to provide success-oriented designs to everyone.
Each sketch is first crafted in our heads. We then create the designs digitally. Gatley uses the latest software so that we are able to visualize even the most unusual ideas. This gives our clients an early idea of what the finished product could look like. Of course, we are happy to change whatever details our customers like to adapt in the process. By exchanging ideas and concepts, we figure out together how the final product should look and feel like.
Sourcing
Our company has built a strong network of international partners that we constantly expand and optimize. We demand highest quality and manufacturing standards throughout all aspects of production and therefore collaborate only with expert suppliers who have a proven track record in their fields.
We also attach great importance to the fact that our products are manufactured according to the highest ethical and environmental standards. Therefore, we collaborate exclusively with suppliers who are certified with a valid BSCI audit or a comparable certificate. This enables us to offer our customers the best quality in all price segments.
In order to offer our customers an excellent ratio of price and performance, we mainly work with our long-standing manufacturers in the Far East. By partnering up with companies that have unique competencies in their respective fields, we are able to find the matching manufacturer for each design and each price point.
Production and Logictics
Gatley is able to offer its customers a wide range of garments from t-shirts to outdoor jackets, mainly in the industry segments of Young Fashion and Sportswear.
Careful product development is crucial to us. This includes determining exact sizing and fit, as well as the definition of fabrics, colours, and accessories. Our many years of experience enable us to realize even the most challenging projects. In dialogue with the suppliers, we optimize the samples until they are perfect and ready for production.
As a full-service provider, we also take care of the logistics and ensure that the goods reach our customers on time. Garments from the Far East usually are shipped to Europe by sea. For urgent orders, we can also arrange a transport by rail or air, if desired by our customers.
